About ACCA

Australian Chinese Community Association of NSW

Australian Chinese Community Association of NSW (ACCA) is a non-political, non-religious, and a not-for-profit organisation that was initially formed to serve the Chinese-Australian community in New South Wales. Since its foundation in 1974, ACCA has been providing community services such as home care, disability care (NDIS) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) to all communities. ACCA Chinese language classes and its many member activities throughout the year promote Chinese culture. ACCA has also organised and been involved in various activities promoting multiculturalism and anti-racism as well as fundraising for victims of natural disasters.

Since its establishment more than 11,000 individuals (including over 250 life members) have joined ACCA as members. ACCA receives government grants for specific programs that are of benefit to the community. But it is also dependent on fundraising activities to maintain the level and quality of services needed to carry out its activities. So far, with the generosity and support of corporate sponsors, donors, members, and the public, ACCA has been successful in the delivery of its services.
