On 1st May 2016, the Western Sydney chapter of the Australian Council for the Promotion of the Peaceful Reunification of China (ACPPRC) was founded in Cabramatta. The President of ACCA Shirley Chan, along with representatives of local politicians, Consulate-General of People's Republic of China in Sydney and local Chinese communities attended the founding ceremony.
