On Wednesday 28th March 2018, the ACCA City Seniors group celebrated the NSW Seniors Festival with a one-day excursion visiting several locations. There were over 110 participants with ACCA Vice-President Mr Franklin Choi as special guest.
The participants were assembled by Central Station early in the morning for two buses to pick them up.
The event’s first stop was East Hills Park where it is famous for picnic and social gathering. The park is located adjacent to the Georges River. Even though it was a hot sunny day, this didn’t stop the participants from taking lots of wonderful photos and enjoying the scenery.
Later the group proceeded to the Star Buffet located within Penrith RSL Club for lunch which they thoroughly enjoyed
They were later transported to Weir Reserve, the last destination, located near Nepean River in Penrith. The group enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the Nepean River and the native plants. Sixty two lucky participants were fortunate to win a gift cards valued $10, $20 and $25 respectively.
Special thanks the volunteers, directors and the Seniors Group committee members for organising this wonderful event.
