Joint Patrons      Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC and Mr Dennis Wilson

Coronavirus Outbreak – Precautionary Measures

As many of you are aware there are now four confirmed cases of coronavirus in NSW. As time passes the number of cases is expected to rise.

ACCA is highly regarded for providing quality services. But our services must also be delivered in a safe environment. As many of our clients and members are the elderly and young children (Chinese Language School students) it is therefore prudent that we take precautionary measures to minimise the risk our clients, members and staff are exposed to.

Accordingly, ACCA will take the following course of actions effective immediately –

  1. The Chinese New Year lunch celebration scheduled for Wednesday 29 January 2020 has now been postponed indefinitely.
  1. The Chinese Language School (CLS) classes that were due to commence on Saturday 1 February 2020 have been deferred by 14 days to Saturday 15 February 2020.
  1. A “No Service” policy will apply to all Home Care Packages, NDIS and CHSP clients who have returned from Mainland China in the past 7 days where their services will be cancelled for 14 days effective today. The “No Service” period of 14 days will also apply to clients who return in the near future. Similarly for ACCA care workers who have returned from Mainland China, they will not be assigned any work for 14 days upon returning to Australia.
  1. All centre-based Day Care programs for seniors have been cancelled for 14 days.
  1. All lifestyle classes such as tai chi, dancing, opera singing, calligraphy, and Seniors Group activities have been cancelled for 14 days.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
